Anna Smith

Anna Marie Smith, age 73, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Sunday August 13, 2017. She was born on September 12, 1943 at Mt. Jude, Arkansas the daughter of Vester and Leathy Foster Smith. She worked as a CNA. Marie enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together, going to the casino, and feeding birds, especially humming birds. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Lewis Smith, a sister, Charlene Avila and a grandson, Xavier Shaffer. She is survived by a son, Jesse Shaffer and wife Denise, three daughters: Teresa Hankins and Joe Payne, Stephanie Walrod and Phyllis Sumler, three brothers: Ricky, Clayton and Lee Smith, two sisters, Glendene Leonard and Betty Bell, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19th at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.. Interment will be in the Prescott Cemetery.
