Anna Holmes

Anna Mae, "Ann" Holmes, age 104, of Fort Scott, Kansas formerly of Prescott, Kansas passed away Thursday January 9, 2014. She was born on June 23, 1909 at Hume, Missouri the daughter of Edward and Bissie VanHoozer Norbury. She graduated from Hume High School in the Class of 1928. She married Eddie Holmes on October 16, 1929. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1993. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: an infant, Edward and Leon Norbury, and five sisters: LaVon Liles, Edna Dunnington, Mary Bush, Lanita Mahler, and Edith Martin. She is survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Holmes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to service Thursday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to United Methodist Church Youthville.
