Ammere Lattie, 74, of Mound City, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born October 22, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, the daughter of Odus and Lillie Morrow Perkins. She was married to John H. Lattie who preceded her in death on March 3, 1988. She was employed as a toll collector with the Kansas Turnpike, prior to her retirement. Ammere was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her family and enjoyed fishing and cooking. She was preceded in death also by one son, John Lattie. Survivors include a son, Odus Lattie & Reita of Raytown, Missouri; daughters, Patty Mowen & Wib of Fort Scott, Kansas, Debi Martin & Dwayne Partridge of Mound City, Kansas and Robin McKenzie & Gary of Olathe, Kansas; three sisters, Brooksie Williamson of Michigan, Gloria Stream of Oregon and Sharon Colgan of Edwardsville, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Lattie was cremated. Family and friends may gather from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas.
