Aletha Fern Stoker, age 70, LaCygne, Kansas died Thursday March 3, 2011 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. She was born July 11, 1940 at LaCygne, Kansas the daughter of Clifford and Opal Lee Filtingberger. She was married to Jerry Stoker who preceded her in death on April 20, 1977. She worked as a secretary at LaCygne Elementary, as a book keeper for Bill Ross and cooked at local restaurants. Aletha enjoyed her grandkids, bird watching and her flower beds. Also preceding her in death were her parents and an infant sister Betty Lou. She is survived by three sons, Joe and Keith Stoker both of LaCygne, and Steve Stoker of Milton, Washington, four sisters: Linda Ross, Pinky Hoyt, Myrna Weitman, and Sharon McCarthy, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday March 7, 2011 at the Star Valley Cemetery near LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation will be Monday at 1 PM until departure for the cemetery at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in LaCygne. A gathering will follow the graveside at the Calvary Baptist Church.
